2012 League is scheduled to begin on April 19th, and run for 18 weeks.  I would like to see each team have a reserve golfer that will fill in for a absent team  member, rather than me searching for a substitute golfer.  I will try and update the sub list with phone numbers.  At this time I have three no now four new teams wanting into league so if you know you are not playing this year let me know.  Those teams changing things up are to decide themselves who is retaining the league spot as the other team member will go to sub list or on waiting list to enter a team. Bartels, Schwarz, M. Hardwick N. Hardwick is the order at this time.  Now two for sure, Hardwick say they can manage to play as a husband/wife team.

I am beginning to plan for 2012, so contact me if you wish to sign up your team for next year.  Email is gene@phelpscountyso.com is the best way to contact me.  Once you contact me I will change your team name color.  Limited to 30 teams again this coming year.  Last years teams have reservations for 2012 until March 1st or unless they have informed me they are not playing then I will let a new team in. 


League Teams, (both players) will be members of the golf course, substitutes do not need to be members, but must pay green fees each night. Remember the rule that was put in place  last year, if a team misses two weeks in a row with no sub playing in their place that team will not be in league the next year.  The rules of golf (USGA) apply in League play unless the governing board or rules committee has modified a rule.   

League Weather, just remember, I will not call off a night of league just for a little rain or a cool evening.  I will rule on the danger of the storm and the course playability as soon as I can.  It will be a last minute decision, which will be the same in 2011.  While during play and weather changes a horn will sound please mark your ball and come into the club house or cart shed until storm passes and play resumes.  

Results will be posted on the web page, hilinegolf.com and I also use this site to make announcements about the golf course and league.  I also will post on board in club house.

If a team no shows it will be noted and the team who is unopposed will only be awarded 16 points total of the 22, which I feel is adequate. Now if a team in the middle of a round stops play for any reason it will forfeit all team points and only be awarded the points won up to that point by a player. I hope this does not happen but it could do to illness or emergency.
